- Which sorts of phone lines can be recorded?
Virtually all. The DSR digital voice documenting devices can record conversations on the following telephone lines: analogue, ISDN2 (BRI/BRA), ISDN30 (PRI/PRA), digital two-wire extension and VoIP. Either trunk-side or extension side communication is to be recorded, we can provide you a solution.
- Do I need more recorders if I have more types of telephone lines?
No. In the most cases different types of lines can be recorded with one single device up to the maximum number of recordable channels. It also depends on the construction and build of the certain recorder. You can configure a device here.
- My company have a Panasonic PBX. Is it possible to record the communication going through this device?
DSR solutions can be connected to virtually all widespread PBXs commonly used in Europe and so to Panasonic as well. Besides the recorders can be connected to the most of Alcatel, Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, Bosch, Bosch Tenovis, Avaya Tenovis, AASTRA, ans Siemens PBXs, although it is always worth checking the concrete type of the PBX and its phone sets. - We also use mobile phones. Is it possible to record the communication of them as well?
Obviously. With the help of the integrated mobile phone recording solution of DSR Group you can record not only your conversations, but short messages and GPS coordinates as well. All calls and information are stored in the same centralized system so the handling and employing do not require a different system.
- Our clients manage their transactions mainly personally in our bank offices. Is it possible to record these discussions as well?
Yes, certainly. One component of DSR voice documenting systems is the WIO Voice (Walk-in-office) recording technology, that is a client--reception desk recording solution, so all personal interactions can be recorded in the office with it. These kind of records are uploaded to the same database with all other records, thus their handling and usage is really the same a sin case of landline or mobile phone recording.
- How many channels can be recorded in one single device?
It is geared to the line-type and the build of the voice recorder. In the most cases different tyes of lines can be recorded in one device.
- How many hours of conversation can a voice recorder store?
One recorder can store 2.600 hours of conversation without compression. By using compression, it can be 20.800 hours. A recorder records only the clear speaking time.
- What happens when the internal storage (HDD or SSD) of the recorder gets full?
When the storage gets full, the recorder automatically overwrites the oldest record. (FIFO)
- Is it possible to get a warning before the storage gets full?
When the saturation of storage reaches a pre-selected limit, the administrator of the device/system is sent a message. This limit can be selected arbitrary.
- What can I do if the storage of the recorder is full, but I do not want to lose any records?
If you would like to keep your records safe for a long term, we suggest you archiving them frequently, before the storage gets full. DSR Group provides different archiving solutions for its customers.
- What can I do if I have more sites where several lines are to be recorded, but I have no capacity to handle all recorders separately?
The solution is a SoliDLog® system, in which the different DSR recorders are unified by an SLDCenter archiving,
servicing and system administering center through Ethernet.
- I really need a voice recording solution, but I don't have an expert to deal with it.
